Welcome, Fall!

Well, it's 'Fair Week' around here... or at least that's what us teachers call it.  The fair is in town for the week and weekend.  What does that mean to us?  Well, let's see.... sleepy students from late nights, days with no homework complete, AND that fall is officially here!  It's my favorite time of the year, and I am SUPER excited.  So excited that I wanted to have a sale this entire week.  That's right!  My sale will run from tonight until Friday night.  I wanted to make a cute fair graphic, but I didn't have any :(  So, I used this graphic from Traci  at Dragonflies in First {thanks!}.

Just click the graphic to go directly to my TpT store where everything is 20% off.

Speaking of everything... I am STILL working on the 4th grade ELA vocabulary cards.  I know, I know... it's taking FOR.EVER!  But.. I have decided to make a 3-5 file and a K-2 file.  So, the good news is...

1) I'm 3/4 the way done.
2) When I finally do finish it, it will be for grades 3-5

First Day Freebie

I love TpT, but don't you miss the days when everything was free and teachers shared their things for others?  I know a lot still do, and that's great!  I like to find a balance between the two.  TpT is a way for me to make extra money to justify the thousands I have spent on my schooling... not really.  But, it is... sort of.  If you are like me, you work hard on the things you create.  I believe you should get something out of the time invested, but I also believe you should have an equal amount of free things for teachers to snag.  Okay, so where am I going with this??

Starting October 1st {and the 1st day of every month} at 6:00am, I will post a product that will soon be posted on TpT.  I will post the item and talk about how I use it/plan on using it in my classroom.  It will be available for free from 6:00am-midnight.  YOU.DO.NOT.WANT.TO.MISS.IT!  I wanted to go ahead and get you pumped up for the first freebie.  I have talked about my standards checklist before here.  I have recently updated it to align with the CC.  The standards checklist is for students, not the teacher.  Students must prove they have mastered the standard by showing they can do whatever the standard states they can do {they are in 'I can' format}.  Each standard also has hints to help the students and guide them in the direction they need to go. It will only be for 4th grade and I do not plan on making them for other grade levels.. sorry :-(  Not all freebies will be for 4th grade so you will want to check back often to see if it is something you are interested in.  I will try to give a sneak peek a week prior to the 1st of each month.  I'm really excited about this!  I'm so looking forward to October 1st!
